ModuleThe GE Fanuc IC660TSA020 terminal assembly is a terminal assembly for the GE Fanuc IC660BBA020 I/O block, which is a 24/48 Volts DC rated analog I/O block with 4 analog inputs and 2 outputs. The electronics assembly for this I/O block that is compatible with the IC660TSA020 terminal assembly has the catalog number IC660EBA020. The I/O block has 4 independent input circuits and 2 independent output circuits. Each circuit on this I/O block can accept or provide signals in one of the following 5 ranges: 0 to 10 Volts DC, -10 to +10 Volts DC, -5 to +5 Volts DC, 0 to 5 Volts DC, and 4 to 20 milliamps/1 to 5 Volts DC. This flexibility in circuit configuration allows the IC660TSA020 terminal assembly and the analog I/O block that it is part of to be deployed with a very wide variety of analog output and input devices.
The configurable features of the IC660BBA020 I/O block include independent scaling for each output and each input, the enabling and disabling of fault reports to the host, a configurable input filter time, low and high alarm limits for each inputs, input underrange and overrange detection, and output underrange and overrange detection. The IC660BBA020 I/O block should be installed inside a protective enclosure. The area where the I/O block that incorporates the IC660TSA020 terminal assembly is installed should be clean and free of airborne contaminants. The airflow around the I/O block should be enough to ensure that the ambient temperature remains within the recommended range, which is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. The IC660BBA020 I/O block can be installed face down or face up. At least 2 inches of spacing should be provided between adjacent I/O blocks. The green ground screw on the block should be connected to a reliable ground system using 12 AWG wire.
