ModuleThe IC660ERD020 24/48 Volts DC rated source electronics assembly belongs to GE Fanuc Genius I/O series of modules and module components. This electronics assembly acts as the microprocessor unit of the I/O block that hosts it. It performs communicational tasks and computations within the block as well as data storage functions. The IC660ERD020 electronics assembly is compatible with the GE IC660BRD020 24/48 Volts DC I/O block and the GE IC660TRD020 terminal assembly. Even though all the wiring which is attached to the terminal block is fixed, the users can insert and remove the electronics assembly without changing the field wiring. The fault description byte of the fault report has a separate bit to indicate the EEPROM faults that can occur on this electronic assembly module.
The GE Fanuc IC660ERD020 electronics assembly comes with a -40 to 100 degrees Celsius storage temperature range and a range of 5 to 95% tolerable non-condensing relative humidity. It consists of a printed circuit board which connects the circuit of the microprocessor with external input and output devices. This assembly can be used for I/O block redundancy configurations. During installation, make sure to identify whether the electronics module is compatible with the terminal assembly or upgrade the module for compatibility. The IC660ERD020 electronics assembly is designed to plug into the block easily by just being aligned and pushed down firmly. Always remember to remove the power before inserting the assembly. If the power is applied, do not touch the connector pins or electric shock may occur. When plugging the electronics assembly in, avoid applying a large amount of force since this may damage the assembly and the block.
