Features

Power Supply and Load Capacity: Equipped with a robust internal power supply, can drive a current load of up to 300 Ohms. This capability ensures reliable performance, even in demanding environments where consistent power delivery is critical for operational stability.

Input Circuits: The first four input circuits are responsible for converting incoming current or voltage signals to digital counts. These inputs can be optionally scaled to match specific application requirements.

Output Circuits: The output circuits, numbered 5 and 6, deliver scaled digital counts from the CPU, providing precise control over connected output devices.

Operational Indicators and Diagnostics: The block is equipped with I/O Enabled and Unit OK LEDs that indicate its operational status. Comprehensive diagnostics system also provides fault messages, ensuring that any issues are quickly identified and addressed. This enhances the reliability of the block in critical applications.

Configurable Features

Independent Scaling: Each input and output channel can be independently scaled, enabling precise adjustments for accurate signal processing.

Fault Reporting: Fault reports can be enabled or disabled for each channel, providing flexibility in how diagnostics are managed.

Selectable Input Filter Time: The block allows users to select input filter times ranging from none to 1024 ms, which helps in reducing signal noise and improving input signal stability.

Power-up Default Values: Default output values can be pre-set for each channel, ensuring the system initializes to a known state upon power-up.

Low/High Alarm Detection: The block can be configured to detect and report alarms when input signals exceed predefined high or low thresholds, enhancing system safety.

Compatibility and Connectivity

This analog block is compatible with handheld monitors in the IC66*HHM500 series, though the HHM501 model requires a configuration change for proper operation. The block's terminals are designed for easy connectivity:

Serial Bus Terminals: Terminals 1 to 4 are used for serial bus connections using AWG wires.

Field Device Terminals: Terminals 5 to 32 are designated for connecting field devices, also with AWG wires.

Power Source Connections: Terminals 6 (DC+) and 7 (DC-) are for the 24/48 VDC power source, while H and N terminals are used for the 115 VAC power supply, connected via a 250V, 1/8 Amp slow blow fuse.

Ground and Common Terminals: Ground connections are provided at terminals 5, 12, 28, and 20, with three common terminals available for sourcing connections.

Performance and Accuracy

Common Mode Rejection: The block offers a common mode rejection of 60 dB (0–1 KHz), with a maximum common mode voltage of 170 volts, ensuring signal integrity in noisy environments.

Accuracy: At 25oC, the block has a typical accuracy of ±0.2% of full scale, with a maximum deviation of ±0.5% of full scale, making it highly reliable for precise measurements.

Thermal Drift: The block exhibits minimal thermal drift, with a typical drift of 10 PPM per °C and a maximum of 40 PPM per °C, ensuring stable operation across a wide temperature range.     Product Attributes

Vibration Resistance: It is vibration-resistant, with specifications of 5–10 Hz at 0.2 inches (5.08 mm) displacement and 10–200 Hz at 1G, ensuring durability in dynamic settings.

Number of Points: This block features 4 input points and 2 output points, offering flexibility for various industrial applications.  This configuration allows for the simultaneous monitoring and control of multiple processes, making it suitable for industries requiring precise control and data acquisition.  The structure of these points ensures that the block can handle different input signals while providing appropriate outputs for control actions, enhancing its functionality in diverse industrial processes.

Input and Output Range: Supports several input and output ranges, offering versatility in its application.  For inputs, the block supports 0-10 VDC, -10 to +10 VDC, -5 to +5 VDC, 0-5 VDC, and 4-20 mA.  Similarly, the output ranges include 0-10 VDC, -10 to +10 VDC, -5 to +5 VDC, 0-5 VDC, and 4-20 mA.  These ranges enable the block to handle a variety of analog signals commonly found in industrial environments, such as pressure, temperature, and flow data, and output them to control systems for further processing.

Points per Common: The block is organized into two distinct groups: one with 4 inputs and the other with 2 outputs.  This grouping allows for efficient signal processing and provides a simplified configuration for the operator.  The clear division between inputs and outputs enables easier troubleshooting and maintenance while ensuring that the block can manage multiple signals with minimal interference or overlap.
