Adapter ModuleIt is a single-slot, RIO communication link module that acts as an adapter or slave on the RIO link and the master of the remote chassis and remote expansion chassis in which it is installed. The 1747-ASB establishes a communication link between SLC or PLC scanners and remote I/O devices. The module supports communication rates of 57.6 Kbit/s, 115 Kbit/s, and 230 Kbit/s. The 1747-ASB can be installed in any slot of the SLC 500 modular chassis.
